At the end of June I drove home from Boise to Canada for some family time. We decided to take the scenic route and let me tell you, it never disappoints. Save a couple hours by taking the freeway OR enjoy windy mountain passes, mountains, rivers, and trees? I'll take the latter thanks.
Here's my route. Normally from Kalispell to Alberta we would take the Going To The Sun Road through Glacier, but due to snow it was closed. I highly recommend you travel that stretch between Missoula and Boise. Prettiest drive ever.
